From a family workshop in 1942 to a fourth-generation manufacturer trusted across forty countries — the story of TAJ is a story of stubborn quality.
TAJ Sales Corporation began in 1942 as a modest workshop supplying hand-finished brass fittings to India's oldest saddlers. Our founder believed that the smallest piece of hardware could betray or elevate an entire garment — a belief that still runs the factory floor.
Four generations later we remain a family firm. What has changed is the metallurgy: our hand-forged brass has given way to die-cast Zamak zinc alloy, unlocking finer detail and tighter tolerances. What has not changed is the standard.
Every buckle that leaves our floor carries the same commitment as the first: honest raw materials, exacting tolerances, and a finish that outlives its garment.
Founded in pre-independence India as a family workshop supplying hand-finished brass fittings to the country's oldest saddlers.
Second generation invests in press tooling — moving from hand-forged to precision-stamped buckles at scale.
Adoption of Zamak 3 & 5 zinc-alloy die-casting unlocks intricate designs at aerospace-grade tolerances.
Exports expand to 40+ countries across Europe, North America and the Middle East.
Family-owned still, engineering-led, supplying the world's most recognised leather-goods brands.
